  David J. Smith, DDS

  Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

  Dr. David J. Smith was born and raised in Central California. After completing high school, he proceeded to Salt Lake City, earning his bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah. He again moved East to attend dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo, where he graduated cum laude. Once he earned his Doctorate in Dentistry, he was fortunate to pursue his dream job of being an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon when he was accepted into a residency program in New Haven, Connecticut. At the Hospital of St. Raphael and Yale-New Haven Hospital, he received comprehensive training in facial trauma, orthognathic surgery, general anesthesia, dentoalveolar surgery, surgical implant placement, and bone grafting. He also was able to take part in specialized training in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the Long Island Jewish Hospital in New Hyde Park, New York. He and his family are excited to be back west in California and be part of such a wonderful community.

  Spencer J. Anderson, DDS

  Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

  Dr. Spencer J. Anderson was born and raised in Blackfoot, Idaho. At 19, Spencer chose to serve a two-year mission for his church and was called to serve in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Following his time in Brazil, he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Business Management from Brigham Young University-Idaho. While attending BYU-Idaho, he met his future wife, Nicole, a native of Visalia and a Golden West High School graduate. Through his wife, he naturally became acquainted with Visalia and the surrounding area. Spencer attended dental school at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated magna cum laude. During his final year of dental school, he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at the University of Pacific/Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. This allowed him to achieve his ultimate career goal and return to the Valley. Along the way, he and his wife have been blessed with four handsome sons, and the entire family enjoys spending time playing sports, camping, backpacking, and relaxing on the beach. They are happy to be here in the Central Valley and close to so many friends and family and a great community.

  Timothy J. Bunnell, DDS

  Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

  Dr. Timothy J. Bunnell was born and raised in Chesterfield, Missouri. At age 19, TJ had the opportunity to serve a two-year mission for his church and was called to serve in Northern California. It was at that time that his love of California and its people began. After serving as a missionary, he continued his education at Brigham Young University – Idaho, where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Business Management. While pursuing his degree, he also met his future wife, Ansley. TJ completed his dental school training at the University of Missouri – Kansas City. During his time there, he focused on and gained additional training in oral surgery procedures. In his final year of dental school, he was accepted into the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery training program at Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, a level I trauma center in New York City. This opportunity allowed him to gain additional experience in anesthesia and facial trauma & reconstruction, as well as extensive exposure to dentoalveolar surgery, dental implants, orthognathic surgery, oral & facial pathology, and TMJ surgery. Since their marriage, TJ and Ansley have added four children to their family. Their sons enjoy sports and being outdoors, while their daughter loves dance and gymnastics. As a family, they are enjoying their new adventure in the valley and looking forward to making it a permanent home.

  Andrew Rahn DDS

  Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

  Dr. Andrew Rahn is from California and graduated from the UCLA School of Dentistry, being inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society. He then completed medical and surgical training at University Medical Center, affiliated with UCLA. Dr. Rahn is a board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and specializes in providing expert dental implant procedures, along with anesthesia, wisdom tooth extraction, and other aspects within the scope of the specialty. He also holds board certification with the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He has enjoyed providing the best of compassionate and ethical care for over seventeen years at his office location adjacent to Saint Agnes Medical Center. Yvonne is the doctor’s lovely wife of over thirty-five years (married young!). They have six wonderful children – two who are married and live out of state. Family is where any extra time tends to be happily spent. Skiing, football, fitness, reading, and a few other interests round out the schedule.

  Dr. Michael Henriksen

  Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon

  Dr. Michael Henriksen was born and raised in Visalia, California. He attended Brigham Young University, Idaho, where he obtained his bachelor’s in human biology. He then went to Loma Linda University, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. He was also recognized for his devotion to the field of OMFS with an award from the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then received his OMFS training at Loma Linda University, where he was exposed to a broad scope of OMFS. This included training in facial trauma, Orthognathic surgery, benign and malignant pathology, ambulatory anesthesia, and dentoalveolar surgery. Dr. Henriksen is excited to practice in the Central Valley and give back to the community he holds so dear to his heart. When not in the office, Dr. Henriksen loves to spend time with his wife and three children. Preferably on a beach or at Disneyland. His other hobbies are traveling, working out, and eating great food.
